Chalker sling

I'm not sure if I like the idea of having another harness over a vest or suspenders. I've looked at the chalker sling setup and it seems like you could attach the last part of the sling (the part that attaches to your weapon) to your vest or suspenders and just do away with the harness. Or just attach a piece of para cord, bungee cord or webing to the weapon and your suspenders/vest.

Any comments? Ideas?
