View Full Version : Anyone currently with H-121st?

I'm looking to get with a unit more squared away than mine.

I understand reclass to 11B is going to be a requirement, along with a high APFT, and having myself locked on. What else do I need to do to be competitive for a slot in this unit?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry about that. I've recently jumped ship from the Marines to the National Guard, and I'm still working on getting past the language differance.

You might have a hard time getting into the unit. The unit will be leaving for Iraq this year. All slots are filled unless you are jump qual, ranger or having other special skills.

Sadly, I am the nearest Army National Guard recruiter, albeit a very inexperienced one.

The info I have been able to get from other recruiters is pretty slim, outside of a vague "you need to reclass".

I'm in no rush for the info, as I have some pending foot surgery and, presumably, a while left recruiting.

I figured on having to wait, and am counting on the post deployment losses(EASs and so forth, not deaths) to open a slot.

I have been told that my best shot is to make mission recruiting, at which point my command claims that they will allow me to attend necessary schools like the 11B reclass, Airborne, Air Assault, and Ranger.

As far as obtaining a slot,,, Commo has its needs,,, they just RTB w/ 48th.

I do not see alot of 'foot' traffic around the team rms 4 awhile,, long while.
