Hey DUMBASS!
You can start by going back to whatever institution graduated you and toss that worthless piece of paper back on their lawn.
Then you can go back to elementary school and learn about sentence structure, grammar, punctuation, and the use of upper (and lower) case letters.
Once complete, utilize some semblance of responsibility before asking questions on an the internet by utilizing the SEARCH BUTTON- and at the VERY LEAST realize the difference between a SEAL and a seal-among other things.

Hey there awesome guy. Chill out man. I am just trying to get some information from some people who have gone through the training I am about to experiance. I have searched the internet multiple times for the last 8 years or so. Now that I am going to commit to, and undergo the training I would like some inside opinions on BUDS training and the mental preperation I should take. But thanks for the great example you have shown me on how not to act. Have a great day. Also for anybody else I would like to hear from some SEALS (A.K.A not army people or people who havent gone through the training and wouldnt know the first thing about BUDS or SEALs.) In closing to Mr. PA thanks for responding to my thread even though it wasn't addressed to you, thanks for the concern.

Red,

Uhmm, I'm in the Army, but I don't think BUD/s is really that big of deal. Inside tip, I hear it's even easier if you tell the Instructors that you want to go to a west coast Team. It's totally different for the Hollywood guys. All the evolutions take place from 10 to 1400 so everyone gets tan.

A perspective BUD/s student shouldn't even ask about the physical aspect. It is expected you have adequately prepared yourself before you walk across the quarterdeck. Beyond that, it's all how you choose to deal with the challenges. All the wisdom I will impart to you, is to look across the bay every morning and know that if you think training sucks, fathom for a moment the poor souls working on those ships, cuz' that's where you'll be if you think for a moment that you've had enough.

Oh yeah, tread lightly on this forum. This is not a message board for groupies, there are more true warriors collected in one place than you will ever have the priviledge of speaking to in your life time.

Present a humble response and you might be directed to the answers you're looking for.

Fuckin' helicopter broke tonight...back to my beer!

stearmann4 thanks for the input. That is a good perspective I didnt think of before about the ultimatum of ship work chippin paint and so forth. Thanks also for the words of wisdom on humility. I as a current military member and prospective spec ops member respect anyone and everyone here as long as they give that respect back. Thanks alot.

Red, respect is earned . You can demand it, but nobody owes it to you.

I expect it. Expecially from fellow servicemembers, just because of their core values. And they can expect it back.

I expect it.

I expect you to quit BUD/S.

You EXPECT IT?????

You FUCKING POS. I should beat your ass. You have not done shit. You raised your right hand with about 50,000 other people to join the service. That makes you SPECIAL?

All you have done so far is what is expected of you. Nothing more. Nothing less.

You are 20? You were a AF firefigher? Now you think because you can run around a flight line you are going to be accepted in our world???? It is called delussions of grander. Wake up. This is NOT an AF BOARD. We are not kinder or gentler.

Your attitude is SHIT. I hope to god they break you at BUD/S.

As for what stearmann4 said...

He warned you. Now go pay the piper.

Later FUCK WAD.

RAT OUT!!!

Redmon, look at Stearmann4's profile. Closely. Sometimes what you ask for here does not come clearly marked and needs your deep reflection.

This board has had…40 or so SEAL wannabes come in here and 3, maybe 4 make it, right? It isn’t in my mandate (or almost anyone else on this board) to dogpile you redmon, so I won’t. Just some food for thought:

Basically the guys above had the same traits and characteristics. They lurked, posted little, didn’t brag, searched a lot on their own, and asked pertinent questions when all else failed. They were humble and not flustered by any commentary on this board. Their focus was singular and without distraction. When they finished and went to SQT we only got a “Hey, I made it. Thank you for the help.” post from them. No bragging, no put downs, no “I told you so” posts.

The failures were the exact opposite, SEALs, SF, PJs, Rangers, whatever the path they wanted to take: Loud, aggressive, no patience for searching or research, no time for anything except a “Give me this information NOW” post. They were all easily rattled by any manner of comments, high strung, and constantly sought the affection and acceptance of the labeled BTDTs on the board. Few came back to tell their story, but other members did. They told us about their failures, all of their low points, how they quit, failed to make the standard, ran away (went AWOL), or just flat never showed up.

You determine your destiny, this board doesn’t.

I suggest you take at least a two week vacation from SOCNET. You have stirred the aggravation of some very fine BTDT's and that pisses me off. You now have your answer from one who was first on the Strand. If you don't understand that you won't be on SOCNET any longer with any of your witty comebacks. Laydown - two weeks.

Has there ever been a guy announce on socnet that he is going to BUD/S and then complete the course? I dont know of any.

Here are some "tips" for wannabes

1. SEAL is all caps.
2. BUD/S is all caps.
3. Dont get familiar with me or any other SEAL, we dont like you.
4. Your status relative to SEALs is below whale shit and whale shit is on the bottom of the ocean.
5. If by some chance you make it to BUD/S, get in the middle of the pack and keep you mouth shut.
6. Stay the fuck off forums, if I find out your name I will relay it to the BUD/S Instructors with a request that they rip your mouthy head off and shit in it. They havent turned down one of my requests in this area yet.

Yes, Sir, we have had a few. I can think of one name right now, and I know there were others.

Somebody help my memory here, I am doing some searches, but to no avail yet.

Redmon's spelling, grammar, tone, use of the small "i”, questions and subject matter seem very familiar to me...

Is this the same dude who was the USSS SWAT LT? Or is this the guy who was posting and got kicked off and then tried a new ISP address and then got booted a second time, he was always provoking....

It's killing me but my spider senses are telling me this is one of those dudes?

Can anyone jar my memory?

This Dude is either the same guy or a carbon copy....

physically ready to DOR with that attitude

i just would love to hear from some seals and even people who didnt make it through buds what i can be doing or preparing myself for to make it through.

why the fuck would you ask someone "who didnt make it through BUD/S" for advice on getting through BUD/S? Are you an idiot

like what is the reason most people DOR.

because they have attitudes like they are ready for anything and nothing can stop them. and they get too cold. ; )

and how do i set myself appart from the begining and excell at buds

The last thing you want to do at BUD/S is set yourself apart at BUD/S. You want to blend in.

This is food for thought. However, do you allow for the possibility that those with a good rep are not only more likely to make it to the Teams, but also more likely to want to disclose their old nick to the community? ;)
