I'm new to this board. I jumped over from getofftheX. I'm heronm on that site.
I was sent an offer letter for the PPS program in the box. All Medical and Dental are GTG and shot records. Been sitting around waiting on clearance and haven't heard anything in a 8 weeks. Is DynCorp out? Can anyone shed some light on this?

Weasel,
If you were not already working on the WPPS contract in Iraq, chances are good that you will not be deploying with Dyn. They had to cut about 20 shooters that had been working in Baghdad because of DoS site closings. Give them a call in VA for more info, but I would send your bio over to BW. If you want to work WPPS, BW is going to be your best bet, at least right now. There is talk of some expansion of WPPS in other countries, but I haven't heard anything solid on that. Hope this helps.

I would have already called them and found out what their plans are. Once/if your clearance transfers to BW you may have a hard time getting Dyn to even talk to you later on. Make sure Dyn has no plans for you before committing to BW. It would be ok to send your bio to get the ball rolling.
Medic101 is right I was with Dyn got past the admin part of it and even had a training date but after news from Silverbullet, and Medic101 I found that DC is shaky at this point, not saying that DC, isn't a respectable Company by no means..but I guess thats the name of game..anyway Medic101 and Silverbullet helped me out alot these last couple of months and they informed me about BW and sure enough I pulled out from DC, and applied to BW.....I got my clearance, a training date next week, and now just waiting on my Dip passport..thanks to Silverbullet, and Medic101 I got a job and the process was pretty quick as well....I owe alot to Medic101, and SB this site helped out alot....so take medic's advice aplly for BW they need shooters..Thanks everyone...Dan

Danno,
Thanks. I think that's the most I've seen my user name used in one post:)
For all;
I want to be clear that I take no postion of what company is better than another, unless the company in question is known to be worthless. I sent Danno BW's way due to the realities on the street. BW is hiring and has billets to actually deploy someone to. This may will not always be the case. Presently it is. Like most things in life, getting on with WPPS now is all about timing.

Glad I went Dyn back in the day, and glad to stay Dyn today. I remember being in your spot a while back. Don't give up the ghost on Dyn too fast, (unless your dirt poor and need to be deployed in a couple months) they are working on expansion, "ebs and flows" my man.

My first post, been lurking for awhile to get the feel of the site. I'm looking to maybe hire on with a company CSC-ATD. When I did a Goggle search, it came up Dyncorp technical services. They are looking for instructor pilots for El Paso Texas, and in Kabul Afganistan. Any info on CSC would be greatly appreciated.
