Are you referring to CONTOMS? And who are you, if you don't mind me asking.

1811,
Beg your pardon.
I'm a Deputy Sheriff, SWAT Operator-TEMS provider in CA. Not refering to CONTOMS as I attended the program, but looking for information.
If your still concerned about my bona-fides, I can put in touch with Oakland FBI who will vouch for me.

I'm down in LA on our team here, and I have never heard of that (I'm an EMT as well).
What's it stand for?

I think most EMT's there at Quantico are CONTOMS and NREMT certified. They have a few EMT-P's as well.
We've got a few CONTOMS guys, two Paramedics, and an MD.
I'll ask around tomorrow at work.

I apoligize if I tick ayone off, but how the hell can you be a front line SWAT/HRT/SERT provider and not know what TEMS is?

Well, I knew what CONTOMS is/was, didn't I? We just never use the word TEMS, so relax sparky. The world is still spinning.
I asked out MD and our Paramedics what they thought TEMS was. Only one knew.
And I am not HRT or SERT or SPORT or SPURT or HEAT or SHIT or HIT.
I'm an EMT (courtesy of LAFD) and a SWAT operator. Any other questions?

What is the process of a Paramedic and/or an MD being assigned to any position within the Bureau? Or are these actual agents with the qualification/skill?

Two Paramedics are prior EMS guys who came to the Bureau on their own. One was sent by the SWAT Team to Paramedic School.
The MD is an Agent as well. He's a board certified Emergency Doc and a full-fledged Agent. He wanted to do something different.

1811, just when I was thinking all the politically incorrect agents were retired, I see your posts. Brings back my faith in the FBI. Me just an Old PD Sergeant

If you are an FBI Agent, you bet.

Hey 1811, met the local FBI SWAT medic, his not an agent put an paramedic with a local fire dept., he also said that the teams MD was not an agent either, bu that they both volunteer to work with the team and had to undergo a screening process.

Our team is lucky to have an FBI Agent/MD and a Paramedic. Only the paramedic is an operator; the MD is a support guy.
