Im looking at signing for one year with them in Camp Victory as a XXXXXXX. I should be meeting with one of the team leaders tomorrow. Does anyone have any advice on what I should keep an eye out for, and what specific questions I should be asking.

All comments and suggestions are welcome. This is going to be my first contract job, so I want to make sure I know what Im getting into.

Thanks in advance

Camp Victory=lots of luxuries considering where it is.

Yep, it is very nice there considering you are in a war zone. Low risk unless you are traveling off of the camp. Lots of dirt/dusty roads. As long as the pay is right is for you I don't think you can go wrong. Ask about any pay issues that you can think of, i.e. pay schedule, direct deposit and so forth. Pay issues are the biggest issue outside of security which is really a non-issue if you stay in the camp.

Well done!! Victory rocks. One of my preferred bases/FOB's. It has it all. Once it even had a bad over at the Int airport, but I have been informed that now has gone. Overall a pretty safe place with grat facilities, especially the pools..:D

Good luck, stay safe

As stated, cannot go wrong at all with Victory for accomodations. Great chow halls and gyms! I have no idea what job "XXXXX" is unless that is something similar to those adult movies (LOL) but if the pay is good for you, sounds good in all.

Ask about bonuses; signing and completion (completion are very common). Ask about work schedule/days per week (the only thing worse than working in Iraq is having a day off in Iraq - but it's good to have a bit of down to catch up on sleep, errands, etc...). Ask about how much leave time you earn and how it can be used (when you can take R&R, who pays for travel, etc...). Find out what they provide equipment wise for whatever your job is and what you need to bring besides your smiling face.

Good luck.
