How many of you other guys use the Danner Acadias? I love mine. Wish they were a little cooler in the summer.

Two pairs in 14 years. Lots of re-soling though.

I've worn mine from Alaska in the winter (the warm part) to McGregor Range & Pendleton in the summer and fall.

I wear them year round for (L/E) patrol work.

I love mine. I had ribbed soles put on them and they are great for patrol and swat.

They're a little hot if you are going to be running through the woods during the summer. But for patrol or street type stuff they were cooler.

With jungle boots, standing out in the sun would get the tops all hot.

But for less physically active stuff, I loved my acadias. I was gonna buy a second pair until I made defective...I mean detecive. http://www.socnetcentral.com/ubboard/smile.gif

I read in an older thread on this board that the Danner Acadia's are standard issue to the 75th RGR RGT, so you know they gotta be good.

all I ever saw at Regt. was green jungles-could be the Danners are what the Regt. uses for cold weather
