Hey in everyone's opinion what was the hardest part of EOD school?

It was my experience that most of the guys that were not supposed to be there got weeded out in the beginning. They either lacked the mental capability for the course or the "hands-on" common sense needed to do the work. Those who made it through what was then the Eglin portion found more challenging problems at Indian Head. Those that then made it through the rigors of ground div. and Air 1 Div. found problems in Air 2 Div., to be specific, dispensers. That is where I saw most people "bite the bullet" so to speak.

O.K. Keep in mind I'm speaking from a squid point of view here...
The hardest part of EOD school was not any one part for me. It was the long 13 months of training, The long hours spent studying (6p.m.- 10p.m.) every Sunday through Thursday night. We used to get up at 4 or so for p.t., then go to school getting off around 3p.m. Then back at school each night at 6 p.m. for night study. You really don't have much fuck-off time. If you do this for 13 months at some time you'll wonder just what the hell are you doing. It wears on you like cancer.
Besides that, diving in Feb. at PAX river in 30 degree weather, breaking ice to get in wearing dry suits with MK-16, and breaking your boat out of the ice each morning was a bit bothersome. I'd do it all again though....
