Just Purchased a Point Blank vest for tactical shotgun work.

The vest is the MRV-CT Modular Response Vest- Carrier/Tactical. It is NOT a ballistic vest per say, but can be used as a carrier if using ballistic panel inserts from any concealable-type vest. The vest comes standard with a velcro/snap grid modular pouch system, non-slip rifle butt pads, and a shortened collar (about 1 1/4" height). Very nice features! I had to buy shot-shell holder and Ammo pouches separately.
Workmanship is very good and it can be ordered in Black, OD, Blue, or Woodland.

My Biggest complaint is even if the vest I ordered was an XL, the overall length of the vest still seemed rather TOO SHORT. when sitting down, there is a 2-3" gap between the top of my BDU belt to the bottom of the vest.

If anyone knows if this is the proper fit of a tactical vest or used this same vest, please let me know.

Thanks,
-DCH

Pretty much all of the PB vests that I've seen are short in length even in larger sizes. The reason for this I believe is to allow for greater comfort, mobility, ect., when wearing the vest in conjunction with your pistol\web belt. If you require lower waist protection you could always opt for a removable groin protector.

Thanks Sosah,

After looking at a few other vests made by PointBlank, I'd have to agree with your assessment- they're built on the shorter side to avoid having the vest ride-up and choke an Officer if sitting or crouched down.
