Medic Question

Hope this is the right place to ask. If not please trash the thread.

I have a friend whos enlisting into the Army after I was talking to him about my blue to green deal and his recruiter seems to be acting up trying to get him into a combat arms contract as an 11X (which he does not want) so hopefully someone here can help.

He is looking to become a combat medic or whatever is the closest to one that he can but not sure what MOS would be bthe best route. His long term goal is to become an 18E but he knows that he is not ready yet and just wants to start off slowlly. What MOS would be best for him to request to prepare for this?

The new nomenclature is 91W.

It doesn't really matter what MOS. What matters is what he does with his mind. Though I was advised to go 11B to get ready for 18D. I guess it worked.
