Anybody know where to acquire some? Hopefully, reasonably priced... I know there is a distributor, ACR Electronics, but they are wholesale to govt entities (typically)... Any other ideas?

thanks in advance.

There's an IR cover for a standard strobe in the stock system. Don't know if this helps. It's another route to go.

The old orange SDU-5/e can be equiped with IR cover.

ACR will sell to GOVT, and you should be able to requisition them and the covers from the system. If your not, they may still sell to you, but dont count on getting the FEDLOG price.

The MS2000M has a blue filter, I'll check on if there is a IR one.

Yup, the ACR/MS2000M has a flip up/off IR cover. Flips over the white light when the Hood is down, flip it off and extend the hood for blue. The IR filter fits on the two studs one on each side of hood, all the ones I've seen or used, the IR filter came on them and acts as a protector for the strobe assembly.

Take care...Jim
