These 2 fighter pilot, Taylor and Welch, are well known to many fighter pilot outside of USA. Famous quote on fighter pilot "Flying and gunnery and tactic may be taught, aggressive spirit is key for fighter pilot and cannot be taught". Both of these fighter pilot show this spirit during attack on Pearl Harbor. Their fighter have 2 advantage against IJN fighter of that day (A6M2), armor and diving speed. Diving speed is not of much use when you are alarm start with enemy fighter over your airfield. A6M2 is faster, outclimb, out turn both instant and sustain at speeds where this combat will take place. One of greatest examples of fighting spirit and aggressiveness ever to be shown by fighter pilot.
Blue Skies to Him!
