Hi, I'm a reservist from Australia, and trying to figure a way to keep the Claymore bag stable during fire and movement. It always seems to strangle me or swing about when I go to ground or crawl.
Better yet, has anyone brainstormed a Claymore pouch?

Shit mate is this some choco SOP or something from singo.Usually in the Battalions I've been with its left in the Pack.Pros and con abound I know.
The 66 is more of a problem to carry.
I have a modified ALICE pack with a claymore pouch fitted or a claymore bag so the strap passes behind your neck over your shoulders,so it hand under both arms to flap on the small of your back.

Yup. Let's hear it for Chockos!
4/3 RNSWR does depress me at times. We're keen to learn new stuff and train with reg DS's, but CHQ and BHQ think they know best. AHHHHH!
Doesn't the bag get uncomfortable around the back of your neck and under your arms?

Sewing a Claymore bag to the top of your ruck is about the best place to carry the thing if you want to get to it in a hurry. If you don't have your ruck (in a cache') you can cut the carrying strap in the center and tie it around your waist and wear the claymore pocket on your butt. But if you don't need it in a hurry, then carry it in your ruck with the rest of your exta ammo.
