Anyone have any good leads on whee I can get a replacement IR filter for my strobe? (Standard US issue "Pilot Distress Marker" orange one) Someplace that won't kill me on the shipping to Canada like US Cav or Brigade Quartermasters.

They can be found on ebay from time to time.

Speaking of which, I need a battery (and an IR cover) for mine. Any ideas?

Use the new Duracell PX27S (non-merc) batteries for the strobes. Cost about $10.00, here's a link for on-line buying. I'm sure there's more:

If anyone has a spare IR cover, I'll swap you a unit t-shirt for it.

Id suggest the ACR MS2000 strobes (the od and black guy) has a built in blue and IR filter and runs on AA batteries. capsupply.com has them i think, but they only sell to members of the civilian air patrol AFAIK. HTH

Our t-shirts are navy blue, small unit crest (in white) over left breast with the added "Canadian Scottish Regiment, B Company" under it. You can see a colour picture of the crest at http://www.army.dnd.ca/CANADIAN_SCOTTISH/
Heavy cotton, not that thin shit. Not very fancy, but looks smart. No big pictures of skulls, comets, knives, etc.
PS In Canada, all inf coy's use colour coding.
A Coy=Red
B Coy=Blue
C Coy=Green
etc..
