Why? You think your uncle is a liar?

Well, let's start with his name - I might know him.

Fred, Thanks for the heads up. I would have never thought my uncle to be a fake, if you would like I will send you more info on him. He sure has my aunt, the local VFW, & several other local organazations believing his false claims. I believe he probably used his claims of being a SEAL to get the LEO job he currently holds, he has been a deputy sheriff here for 10+ years. Will be sure and put the word out to my family that he is not what he claims to be.

Try to move to another state before your uncle kill you after you tell your family.

LOL Mike. Seriously. Is this a case where loyalty to family doesn't mean squat? So much for background checks for LEO candidates. I'll be sure to mention my time in Delta and SAS and GIGN when I interview for San Francisco PD. Maybe they'd put me on Tactical. LOL

shurefire, most police departments have deeper and longer background checks than what is need for a security clearance in the federal government. If you lied, for example, about serving with the SAS or GIGN, they will share it with other police departments if you put down SF as places of residence or work, believe me. Like, say, if you're in NY, the NYPD will check with other cities. Loyalty to the family is a lifetime requirement.
