there are tons of vehicles with German plates floating around in Iraq, Im not sure if any Germans are driving them though....its funny, Iraqis are so lazy that dont even bother to take the German plate off, they just screw an Iraqi plate on top of it

Shark11 yes they still drive with the plates from where ever the cars are from, a couple of years ago i did see one from Finland but no it wasn't a Real German number plate on the Suvīs they were the same which i realized when we passed the last Suv in the convoy but then it was late to turn around and have a closer look.

From what I know, thats all Diplomatic Security provided by GSG 9.
I donīt know any security company conducting PSD ops in Iraq, regards Germany is not a part of coalition.

There was a German team up North, there was a guy called N.B,they were hit hard on a job outside Baghdad in 2004, they were part of a US company, at the time, I have the AAR somewhere on my other computer, they did an article on German TV about themselves
Found something.....not the AAR......

Argyll, norts read a translation of the same article, the 'Wall of Steel' tattoo reminded me of it......there were some questionable claims in the article. I will PM him and see if he remembers where it was he found it.
The photo caption on page 6 seems to sum up the article though, a lot of 'Macho-Pose mit Kameraden'. One thing's for certain, with all of the photo's of their faces, I.D's (including CAC's) etc..these guys sure don't seem to care too much about PERSEC..........

I had one of the guys from there email me , as I accused him of fabricating the incident as I was in Baghdad at the time, and never heard of the "massive rolling contract", I checked back archives and zip........but it did happen, the article was misleading,NB sent me the AAR personally, on further checking into the story, it panned out to be pretty accurate.....

Apparently included were claims of shooting bad guys on roof-tops at 250+ metres with an M4 from a vehicle travelling at 130 kilometres per hour? Maybe it was the author exercising some 'poetic licence' :D

I know this company and itīs not up to me to judge these guys.
Some of my business partners in germany wonīt trust them.
Way to much wannabees, maybe they had a job in iraq, maybe not. I dont know, but I would be careful.
