? about BUD/S rumors

I have heard that some changes have been made recently to BUD/S and was wondering if there is any truth to any of it:

1) Supposedly hell week is 3rd week now.

2) No probationary period before trident, you pin it on after graduation from bud/s

is any of that true?

Currently *Hell Week* is the third week of first phase...I seriously doubt they've dropped the probation period...Hopefully I'll be able to tell ya next year after graduation...

Fred or Trident86...I have 2 logistical questions that hopefully you can help me with....1> What is the best thing to do with my household goods shipment, I'm single so I'll be in the barracks, is it best to just put it all in storage? 2> does how early I report dictate how long I spend in PTR&R..?

There's not much room in the barracks, and inspections are easier with spartan rooms so I would put it in storage. The PTRR thing is new to me so I don't know much about it. Safe to say your class is probably predetermined and reporting early probably won't get you started any sooner. What are we talking here 1-2 weeks?

May I ask when the start of HELL WEEK was changed & why? On my copy of the warning order it still says hell week is 5th week. Was it changed to get the people who would quit out sooner so they can save money & time?

Put all your stuff in storage, like Fred said its easier with less crap. You'll have enough on your hands trying to keep your deck clean(or at least I did). Hell week is the 3rd week because they increased the length of indoc. Why they did that, I'm not gonna say. Lets just say I know cause I was around when they were planning the changes.

When you look at your orders it will tell you when you class up, till then you are in PTRR. It all depends. Some guys had two days to get gear, get squared away. It all depends.

Yea I got the start date..I was just curious as to how soon you should check in..I was thinking a week to a week and a half..so I would have time to get my s*%t together..Ohh well..I'll find out soon enough..
