Aviation Project Manager
Location
Iraq

Reports To
Program Manager, LPMO

Position Summary
Acts as in-country manager and focal point for all contractor-provided aircraft operations, with contractor project manager oversight.
Responsible for all aspects of planning, scheduling, organizing, managing, and assessing performance of aircraft and aviation personnel.

Duty Specifications, Responsibilities and Conditions
Ensure that contractor provided aviation personnel are executing their responsibilities efficiently and effectively. Items of primary concern
include:
assessing performance of aviation personnel ensuring their proper behavior, whether on or off duty Ensure that all necessary aviation
support is planned and provided, without a decrease in required performance. Items of particular concern include:
Scheduling of aircraft, flight crews, and flight plans Availability of operational aircraft when required Maintenance of aircraft and auxiliary
equipment to facilitate continuing operations in an austere environment

Essential Skills and Experience
U.S. Citizen
Level 3 English proficiency
A commercial pilot with instrument rating
A current medical certificate
Total of 3,500 hours of flight time, with at least 500 hours using night vision goggles
Served either in a high-risk environment or a U.S. military combat tour
Demonstrated ability to develop and manage budgets
Demonstrated ability to manage and have contractual knowledge of the
Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)
Generalized experience in planning, evaluating, analyzing, and implementing government security type programs
Demonstrated experience in the interpretation of government regulations and the development of plans, policies, and procedures
Written and verbal communications skills, including the ability to communicate solutions effectively to both technical and non-technical
audiences
Ability to function effectively in austere conditions
No impediments to traveling overseas to and within countries that are considered dangerous or unhealthy

Physical Demands and Work Environment
Must be prepared to live and work in an austere environment. Must be willing to work seven days a week, 12 hours a day.
