Any BUD/S Instructors or WC'ers around? Wondering how 264 is making out in Hell Week? It's my 60'th anniversary class. I head they started with around 135 or so? Just curious as to how the youngins are making out. Thanks.

Hey GreenWarrior,
I hope I'm not out of place. I'm no instructor, but i have a brother in 263. I just got off the phone with him and he told me that they have somewhere in the 70's left in 264. Hes said they started with something like 113. So they have a ton of people left. Sorry i can't give a more exact number. I started following all the classes after my brother got through with 261. Hope this helps.

Looked to me like about 11 boat crews made it. I have been hearing them from my room at the barracks all last week.
On another note, my 6 yo daughter and I were walking around the Team area right when 264 was getting secured from HW and we walked up onto the berm about 100m away to watch. I was sharing some key insights to her about perseverence and dedication and using this class as a teaching tool when some other tool walked up and told us we had to leave because "the Captain and the Admiral don't want anyone around." We were too far to hear anything being said and I found it a really great moment to experience from afar with my child. I told the guy that I was in the Teams and showed him my badge, but no dice. I didn't want to get into a pissing contest over it with her present so we just left, but I thought that was a fucked up thing to do.
Time goes faster when you're old. I had breakfast Friday morning with two ex-Frogmen. One went through class in Ft. Pierce [no class number back then] and the other, a retired, 28 years active, Captain was in class 5. I was in class 48.

That is pretty fucked up. Especially being there with your daughter which does make it very special. I guess times are changing and some people have a stick up their ass.
