I am currently a SWAT Officer in So Cal. Can someone point me in a direction where I can find out info on DOE Security Police Officers and DOE SRT officers (not Special Agents.) ie. qualifications, hiring contacts, training, etc. I have looked extensively at the DOE websites, where they list the job description, but not the "How do you apply" info.

HmtPD,

Try this link: www.hr.doe.gov/phonebook/hqorg.pdf (http://www.hr.doe.gov/phonebook/hqorg.pdf)
You do need ACROBAT READER
It has numbers to all the people you could
ever want to talk to.

Do you mean the positions at DOE HQ (federal civil service) or the labs (manned by contractors)?

I believe that all DOE labs and plants have the security handled through a private contractor. The hiring processes would be different for each one. The ones i'm familiar with pay well, but job security (mabye not an issue for the next few years) and simple job satisfaction seem to be the downsides. I've never worked for one of these companies, so I could be wrong. This is just observation.
I sent you an E mail HmtPD for further info.
