Heard Leupold has a new HOLO-type prism sight out there - Google was no help. Anyone have a link or more info?

I have some data on them somewhere... I saw a bunch of press about them after the shot show.

I was googling around trying to find the battery type/life. Looks like Leupold is rebuilding their 'tactical' products web page so maybe some better info out in a couple days.

Pretty pictures:

I haven't seen one up close yet. They are right down the street from me. I need to get the LE rep to let me play with one. :D

It is a dot-ring reticle. I like the idea of a small 1 MOA dot inside a ring like the EOTech but in a smaller body like an AimPoint... But I'm not sure if it is worth $450-$500 or if it is that much of an improvement.

I'm a big fan of Leopold glass, but that just looks like someone crossed an EOTech with an Aimpoint. Of course I havent used one yet so take it for what it's worth. I have both the EOTech and the AP Comp ML-3 with 3X magnifier. Under 50m I like the EOTech. I dont get a feeling of having to look through a tube like I do with the AP. Past 50m though, I like the AP better and can slap on the magnifier if needed. EOTech has a magnifier but from what I saw of it at the SHOT Show it's stupid expensive.

Really? You like the AP at longer ranges?

I like the EO just because of the smaller dot. The AP with the 2MOA isn't too bad, but the 4 MOA model gets monstrous at range. LOL

Had the chance to use a proto up at Quantico a quite back. Personally I'll take an EO from 0-200...most likely a mind thing for me but all the AP/Red Dot ..feels to much like looking down a tube (to quote Shark), fit well and after I dropped it, on the concrete, no worries and a friend lives by it but still to "scope like" to do fast work for me.
