View Full Version : Back in one piece
Okay fellas, I'm back from my tour, all full of useful knowledge. Baghdad was fun, Samarra more fun. (I highly recommend the 37F MOS for those who dislike being heavily supervised;)
Hey all, just got back a few weeks ago and having a great time trying to re-establish cash flow. In Baghdad, we avoided CA like they had cooties, in another team in Samarra, we rolled with them (CAT A) every day. They are very good, (Buffalo NY) and it never hurts to have a MAJ as an ally when your own most senior guy is a SSG.
I have some advice for those entering from other services as NCOs: Learn what NCOs are expected to do in the ARMY. This is not the USMC and the Army does not care how you did it in the Corps, nor are they impressed. Your rapport building does not stop at the wire, so making excuses for why NCOERs, counseling statements or SITREPS are not done correctly will not fly. Just my .02. You people know who you are :)
Thank you for your service, welcome back.

Welcome home. When were you in Samarra? I left PB Olson 2 months ago.
Just my .02. You people know who you are....So why don't you just send them a PM (ASSuming they are even on SOCNET), instead of hijacking your own thread from one of your successful return to a holier-than-thou ASSitude directed at people who probably aren't even on this board.
Enjoy your return back to the US....
