Too bad those dudes never read the info on this site.

If it sounds too good to be true it is.

If they ask for money, for anything, including training that you will need to work for them, then they are ripping you off.

No company can guarantee that their training will get you employed with anyone.

Shady dealings, sure. But how dumb can people be. If you don't do your due diligence, put in the time to research and investigate things like this (like I would hope anyone would do for any job), you deserve the cards you get dealt. One of the guardsmen quit his job before he had a class date or a contract, he's a dumbass.

It's the same kind of ad that hooked the three National Guardsmen from Texas who now fear watching shows like "The Unit" may be the closest they'll ever get to this kind of work.

And anyone using the above as a reason to get a homeland defense job, or become a gov. contractor needs to stay home and play vidoe games. LMFAO!

Guy's, I'm sorry but all of you are WRONG!!!

I listed on the Objective line of my resume: I watched the A-TEAM, and I'm ready to "GET IT ON!"

Seriously though, come on!

: )

Common sense should prevail!

$300 bucks for a lesson in reality is cheap. There are people shelling out a lot more than that because they baught the BS from someone that a doing a course, watching a DVD or subscribing to a "recruiting" website would take them from zero to hero in time to win the war and bank a million.

Another one of those terms that should fall into oxymoron, Common Sense is not really that common.

You ain't lying, Norts. I think I paid that in some kind of Amway, Camera+free film, phone card, etc....scam.

These brothers - with the best intentions - gladly parted with their cash because they didn't do their homework. It could have been WAY worse...but we can rest assured that it won't happen to them again. Even better - someone may learn from their mistake.

I've been snookered and feel for them - esp the guys who quit their jobs.
