Greetings! What type of knowledge can I study to prepare for the 18X Pipeline? Most of the questions on here are of the physical nature, but from what I know of the SF community, they are usually well educated.

I'd politely suggest starting with FM7-8.

Best of luck in your endeavors.

FM 7-8 is a good call. The Ranger Handbook would be my first choice though. There are some good books out now about SFAS and such things as taking care of your feet during selection as well.

I'd second the Ranger Handbook instead of 7-8. I just read through it recently (well, skimmed) and it (7-8) is full of so much fluff and bull shit, its unbelievable. If there's a high speed sounding word or acronym, they put it in there.

The Ranger Handbook as all the same info, without the BS.

Which is the most current Ranger handbook? The April 2000?
