Several years ago, when their was only one raptor flying/testing, a buddy and I were flying to vegas. Going across the desert, Joshua control says, "Cherokee 95XXX, traffic alert 3 o'clock, 1 mile, F22 Raptor maneuvering. Our heads snap right and there she was, dead on run at us with a F16 chase plane above. My buddy responded traffic in sight, "and a beautiful one at that." Raptor pilot pulled vertical and essentially flew in front and over us (with plenty of room of course). Partner says to Joshua control, 'thats a beautiful airplane." Raptor pilot hears us, and circles back around and gives us a slow pass. Awesome.....Then he hit it and was a dot in the sky. Wont forget that experience.
