Possibly a strange question, but im wondering if anyone in our Military here or Overseas uses the Point Blank Interceptor body armor? The reason i ask is because ive got a whole shit load of these Yoke and Collar Outershells and was looking at donating them. Hate to throw them away if they can be put to good use.

Not trying to pry, but how did you get " a whole shit load" of these items? If you're looking to get rid of them, and are not looking for payment, I've got several very legit places where they could be very productively sent.

For work I go to auctions that deal mainly in recovering salvaged freight, then sell it on Ebay or what not. These happened to be on a pallet that had another item on it that i was after. I just thought id see if theyd be of any use before they went in the trash. No im not looking to make any money, maybe help with shipping is all, even then i dont really care. PM me some info if you wouldnt mind and ill ship them off.

Oh and a whole shit load translates out to be about 200. Some of them have snap buttons, velco, and webbing sewn onto them as well.

Are these just the shell, or do they have the soft armor inside them? These are a component of the vest used by "Big-Army". I'm sure that somebody here can find a home for them.

Looks like its just the shell, and it sounds like not all of them are complete either based on one of his posts above... Kinda weird. Maybe you got a box of QC rejects or something?

See thats what i have no clue about, thats why i posted up some pictures, maybe someone has seen them before, and knows what they are supposed to look like. They could of been on there way to a customer as completed, to another facility to finish manufacturing, or they could of been like you said QC rejects.

I think he is asking if there are layers of kevlar inside the nylon cover... is the whole thing a good quarter inch thick, or is it just two layers of nylon covering nothing?

Interesting how the tag has places for additional ID info that has not been filled in.

Kind of what makes me think these were QC rejects.

I would have to agree. Generally the lot number is on there to ID the batch the ballistic material came from in case there is a failure. The company can ID the lot and pull it as well as the vests that were manufactured with it. The year manufactured is important for the "5" year life of the Kevlar.

Without the information filled in IMHO they are "no good". They can't be traced back other than to Point Blank and even date of manufacture is questionable. I would NOT use these.

They are 2 layers of fabric, the green you see in the picture, and then a yellow fabric on the other side. You can see the stitching outline on the other side where the yellow fabris is sewn on.

Sounds like the concensous is that they're trash, so thats where they will go. Thanks guys.
