Those in the know;
I have ordered D. Marcinko's "Leadership Secrets of the Rogue Warrior" for my son and myself. Any reviews/discussions about content would be appreciated.....do ya like it or not? Thanks

I thought the book was pretty good. I liked how Dick noted methods and situations from both the civilian corporate world and his miliatry experiences. I have loaned it out to others and they had good reviews of it also.

im a little behind, seeing that your last posts were a while ago, but if you havent found the book yet, I suggest you get it. He has a sequel out that I saw in the Charlotte airport...I only read two pages of it, but it was pretty interesting too. I got my copy of the first edition at the aafes px. I would suggest borders, or any other big lot bookstore. Just ignore some parts like, "the difference between my legendary SEAL Team six, and other famed spec war units..."
For those that haven't yet read The Rogue Warrior's Strategy for Success do yourself a favor and get it, Dick if you ever read this get over to aussie, your style is exactly what we need!

I don't know if Mr. Marcinko plans on updating his Leadership book, but if he does, I believe I found a good example of a company employing small teams and empowering them. I think I'll forward this to his publisher as well.

I don't think the book translates well into the corporate world, which tends to be ultra-PC. Some of the concepts like "lead from the front" work, but I think Dickie's methods require the ability to pick your team. It's rare in my experience for corporate officers to have that ability. You have to learn how to get what you can out of lazy and incompetent people with whom you are stuck.
Just my $.02.
