If you havent read it, GET IT AND READ IT -NOW-!!!
It's a military SciFi book, but more about PTSD and the burnout/combat fatigue experience, plus more than a bit about how vets percieve civilians, and vice versa.
It's written by David Drake, who was an intel geek with the 11th Cav in 'Nam. It's about a Strike Company that's been out on the Front longer than it should have been, and the grunts have started to cook off in exotic ways. So they get pulled back and assigned to protect a civvy colony project. Predictably, things go wrong. That, BTW, is just a surface review of the plot, and doesnt do the book justice. Truth to tell, the book, at several points, got me a bit misty-eyed, especially the Caius Blohm character, who you have to see to believe.

READ IT!!
