Trip Wire, good site. I've always been an aviation buff, but having slightly bad eyes could'nt entertain the notion of flying for a living.
There is / was a B17 just a couple hundred meters off the shore in Limon Harbor, which is the Atlantic side of the Panama Canal. It was in only about 30 feet of water, so you could (barely) snorkle on it.

I remember reading an atricle years and years ago in National Geographic on Truk Lagoon. Incredible photos in there of the preserved wrecks
There are a number of wrecks off Oahu. Maybe easier to get to.
