This will be the first time Blackwater has opened this course to Protective Specialists not proprietary to Blackwater USA.

Blackwater® Personal Protection Specialist Course

Upcoming Course Dates:
July 8 – 14, 2007 Fairfax/Loudon County, Virginia
August 12-18, 2007 Moyock, NC

This course reflects how we train our own personal protection teams. Course content includes classes and discussions as applied to protective operations in permissive and semi-permissive environments. This is a practical application course students attending must be prepared for long days and training exercises which may take place overnight or out of town operations.

This course meets the training requirements for the Virginia DCJS PSS Personal Protection Specialist registration
(032E) DCJS #88-1453

Class size is limited to 24.

I attended the pilot course and highly recommend it to anyone looking to expand their capabilities to include domestic and semi permissive protection. This course was intense, with both classroom and practical applications. The academic portion covered the information and laws necessary for the Virginia DCJS PPS requirements. The practical portion consisted of realistic training exercises in the field using the tools required in daily domestic and semi permissive protection operations. At the end of the course you will have gained advanced knowledge and training, completed the requirements for the Virginia DCJS PPS certification, and have had the opportunity to network and be vetted by BW.
