I pulled the below of a post on the net. It's a small post on dryfire drills...something those of us with the itch will never cease to do. It is not Mine; however, I thought it was good. Kudo's to whoever took the simple time to post it.
I know it sounds simple, and maybe elementary for some...but I've seen too many GSW's on good folk in our line of biz that have suffered needlessly...and from what could have been prevented. This is no discredit to them, but a gentle (and sometimes not so gentle) reminder for those of us that have not had to endure such a mistake.
This comes after some recent tragedies in my AO...as well as others I always grieve to hear about.
Delete it, but remember it.

1. Remember the 4 Rules, they are life;
2. Have a dry practice area, don't go snapping around the house;
3. Put all ammo away, a coffee can will work for your carry mags;
4. Guns magically reload themselves, 4 rules, if interrupted, start over, verbalize your intention to dry practice, verbalize your end of dry practice;
5. Backstop should trap bullet, rics inside your basement are bad;
6. Remember the 4 Rules, they are life.
