My wife and I visited the Punch Bowl in 2000. It is a remarkable place and we spent some time there.
My daughter took my 10 year old grandson there last week. He was very appreciative of the experience. I'm proud of him because he seems to have an understanding of why he is living in a free country.
My daughter also took him to Pearl Harbor and out to the U.S.S. ARIZONA MEMORIAL.( I've been to the U.S.S. ARIZONA AND THE U.S.S. MISSOURI AS WELL)

I have never been to the Punchbowl cemetery. I did visit the U.S.S. MISSOURI, when it was here in Washington State. I did take the Navy tour at Pearl Harbor and a civilian tour as well. The Navy tour was better by far.
I also visited the UN's Cemetery in Pusan Korea in 2005.

I visited the Punchbowl in 1991. The reality of those that sacrificed their lives for freedom was quite sobering.

I flew over it in 2006. Quite a sight.
