Two things:
1.) Do these things run small/large? I am 10.5 in Nikes, 9.5W for my Bates Durosucks, and a 10 in Bellevilles. I am thinking about ordering a 10 for the Oakleys. Think that's a good idea? Or should I try something larger/smaller?
2.)Any other opinions as to the quality of these boots? I read some conflicting things about them in other threads, and would appreciate any other input you guys would have. Its some serious dinero (for my budget) for these things and I would like some other peeps opinion before I blow some money.
Thanks dudes,
Matt
They fit true to size for me. I wore a pair off and on for about a year in both urban and mountain environments including climbing Karst Limestone cliffs. Found they held up well, and when I gave them away they were still in good condition. I would purchase again. These were the desert tan version and not the black ones which I know nothing about.
If you qualify as mil/LE you can get on their standard issue program and save some bucks. Worth checking out on the Oakley website.

They fit true to size for me. My first pair didn't last long at all. The soles wore down quickly and the inside simply eroded, particularly in the heel and around the opening. My second pair has faired better, but then again, I'm not wearing them in A-stan at the moment.
They are the most comfortable boots that I've ever put on my feet but I don't know if I would pay for them out of my own pocket.

Thanks for the replies. Much appreciated.
TFT,
I am assuming that you wore your first pair while in A-Stan? At the moment I'm not exactly in an "operational" status due to the college thing and all -- I was trying to assertain whether or not they would hold up to the minimal amount of crap I put up with during my "One weekend a month" gig I pull at ARNG MOUT sites. I'm guessing they would. Thanks again.
Regards,
Matt

Given that kind of use, they should have a decent life span. Just remember that they are not as durable as Altamas or Bellevilles.

I was issued mine just before my last AStan trip, didnt bother to wear them then. Been wearing them for weekend IPSC shooting and they have held up well for over a year now. They are showing decent wear along the top where the inner liner meets the outer layer. The guy whose desk is next to mine has a pair he wore in AStan for 7 months and has had for over three years and his are worn in the same place, but it doesnt affect their comfort.
The size runs true for me as well...12 Nike/Asics running shoe, 12 Oakley. I did take out the original foot bed and put one in from a pair of old hiking boots. The original one seemed "thick" and once replaced the boot fit much better.
You can catch them here: www.sportsmanguide.com for as little as $50 new, you just have to be watching/checking often, when they show up the popular sizes go FAST. I didnt see any listed today.
