I just finished re-reading Matthew Brennan's book "Brennan's War". I first read it in the late 80's. He served in Vietnam from late 1965 to late 1969. Practically all of his service was with the Aerial Reconnaissance "Blues", Bravo Troop, 1st Sqd 9th Cav of the 1st Cavalry Division. It is a good account of their combat in II, I, and III Corps.
I re-read this book trying to identify some of the action described in Franklin D. Miller's (CMOH) book "Reflections Of A Warrior". Miller was initially assigned to the "Blues" in March 1966. I believe he was with the 1st Cav's "Blues" about 2 years before he requested assignment with Special Forces. Brennan and Miller probably served together.
