Any particular specialization?

University of West Florida will have a full on-line Master's Degree in GIS/Remote Sensing by late FY 08. Right now they have a grad certificate that's 24 semester hours long. The difference is a thesis and 12 more SH.

I'll tell you now, it will smoke you like cheap cigar. It's not easy by any measure. You will write term paper(s) till they're coming out your ears. Some of the practical exercises are practically impossible. You'll definitely earn the certificate.

Not sure what you are wanting to try and do with the masters but I know in GA, the state and I am pretty sure Federal Jobs will "NOT" acknowledge a masters unless it comes from an legit accredited college. For instance to get a job with the state of Georgia or a pay raise if you already have a job with the state then the degree has to be "SACS" (Southern Association of Colleges and Schools) accredited. Just FYI-Later

Most on line colleges/university's are accredited.

Most on line colleges/university's are accredited.

If you go to www.chea.org, they have a search engine that lists all colleges and universities that are properly accredited. Only certain accreditors are recognized by the Department of Education.

Believe it or not, there are fake accreditors out there that accredit fake colleges. :(
