Sme time ago I posted a review thread about these, can't find it now, basically I thought they wore and looked nice like all the TNF/REI/Columbia competitors, since I had some 5.11 gear I went for it.

as a follow up...


I bought two of these, they lasted 2-3 three years respectively before fraying apart from the edges, not pretty, at 45/per that pisses me off. These were not worn hard and I have both Columbia and REI brand shirts going on 5-6 years with no real visible wear.

5.11 Tactical split off from Royal Robbins several years ago. I've never bought anything from 5.11 that I haven't been happy with, although ironing the shirts does get old.

I bought a pair of the Royal Robbins Nox jeans that allegedly have coolmax fabric somewhere in them. When worn, that fact is completely transparent to the wearer, as the jeans create a bog of stagnant humidity on the wearer's lower half.
