I bought a CS Scottish Spike awhile back , but shelved it after playing with the neck knife idea one last time.
I finally came up with a suitable way of carrying it after skimming through the pages of SGN and seeing Atlanta Cutlery's ad for a OSS spike / frog repro mod. This is what I came up with .

The sheath is an original from the factory. I made wrist / forearm straps out of nylon webbing (the same size and type used for tac slings) . I hope you guys like it.

Is that for wear in the barracks, or are you gonna hump with it on yer arm?

Seems very uncomfortable and unpractical.

Sorry but I hope you do not plan on using you left hand. That will hurt your wrist when you do any movement. What purpose do you want to use it for?
When you are in uniform geared up just put you knife on the outside. In Civilian clothes you have to have long sleeves and the normal cuff will be too tight to pull that big thing out.
Just my 2 cents from the pictures.

Big knives are great, but essentially a waste of time in my opinion.

Didn't anyone ever read the W.E.B. Griffin series "The Corps?" Ken, "Killer" McCoy had a Fairbane in a sheath on his forearm. He was on bad assed mofo.

The sheath can be placed further up the forearm or even on the upper portion of the arm. I wouldn't carry the spike that close to my wrist because of what SF BHT mentioned.
I wore the ACU top just to show that it could actually be concealed .
The CS spike has a 4" blade which really isn't that big by fixed blade standards . I normally carry at least one fixed blade everywhere I go , but not using this carrry method.
B 2/75 , when I jump , I usually carry a folder in an upper pocket . I'm not sure how this would work going out of a C-130 , and PLF's might jar the blade loose .

Yeah, but they're a cool waste of time... :)

I certinaly don't hope you are jumping with that on your arm.

AK... everyone is being really polite, but what they're saying is "put that POS away before you get yourself hurt, and put a regular pocket knife in your pocket."
Really. You don't want to mess with junk like that. Yes, it might even be a well-made knife... but what is its utility (when do you REALLY expect to take out a sentry with it), and then balance the utility with how pissed an MP or a city Cop is gonna be when they find it on you...
Recommendation: good novelty knife for joking around next time you're cleaning a hog, getting ready for a pig roast. Throw it in a garage-based tool box the rest of the year.

I did this just to see whether it would actually work or not , I'm not actually going to carry in this method , and damn sure not going to jump with it on.
I did this as a novelty and to see how it worked , Sorry for not being more clear on the subject .

No offense,
The OSS was clandestine and working behind a brutal enemy's lines, that is the ONLY reason they did that kind of (dangerous) stuff.
While not as sexy, they also hid things in their butt...
Have you considered a HAK (hide away knife)? Might keep the blade away from your radial a little better lol.
