Some guys out training with us in August had something new they were T&E'ing. That designation sounds familiar, but I don't know. What I can tell you is that whatever they had was about the size of the Viper range-finder and had some intense magnification capability. It had reversable polarity, was closed circuit (Gosh, can't I have my AN/TAS-5 back, Sir) and was as clear as any thermal sight I've ever seen.
