how can i find the point in the fog? with a group of ppl we each point the azimuth and walk ahead of the other? with two ppl? by myself? help appreciated please explain all techniques.

Direct reckoning on azimuth, pace count, and terrain analysis when you get close.
Or, the fast way. Bust brush to the nearest findable major terrain feature, like an intersection, or a hill, then vector in to your point from there.

Roger. Detailed map study, identify attack points, learn how to use linear terrain features.
Dead reckoning works for those less confident with terrain association.
Are you patrolling or doing a nav course? It matters.
