" There are no compacts between Lions and men, and wolves and lambs have no concord."

Im shure you are wondering what this means but as soon as u figure this out you will have this feeling inside you for internity.

But will we know how to spell?

Ok Dog, I give up. I actually contemplated that for almost 5 complete seconds before I gave up. What exactly does that have to do with Law Enforcement or Sniping? You'll have to explain in detail because I am just a newbie to both and probably wouldn't understand without a very detailed explanation. Please enlighten those of us who are seeking enlightenment so we may forever feel that whatever-the-hell it is that you are feeling. But, be advised, many of us are required to take periodic drug screen tests which may limit the extent of our enlightenment. So, go ahead, enlighten me. Please.

????

I get it but, lets face it.If it were better
than "One Shot,One Kill" they'd have it on
a baseball cap already.

Put this on a baseball cap and you might
get beat up out of frustration.

I kinda agree with wolfhound, but I have always been partial to that movie line
that describes the total mission very well.
"to come up with last minute solutions to impossible problems created by other fu&*%$#
people".
of course you will not find that on any baseball cap either.

Speaking of Meta-Physical Sayings:

At dawn, the Gazelle awakes and knows that it must run faster than the fastest lion; or it will die. The Lion awakes and knows it must run faster than the slowest gazelle; or it will starve.

In the morning, it doesn't matter if you're a Lion or a Gazelle; you'd better be running.

Now, OBVIOUSLY we can see how it applies to the modern Socio-Political Dynamics between the SWAT teams, the Public, and Starbucks Coffee Houses....

Ok what i have wrote above is nothing but having a simple state of mind.It means that society and nature form one community among each other but there is always the chance of forces unknown who have different opinions on certain subjects. So the fact of having to take this force out is up to the predator for the reason to provide his community with protection and safety. And to protect his life and the ones who are helping to destroy the force. I know alot of u dont know what i am saying but the next time u wait and protect your officers so that we live in safety think about what you have read here.

Nope, don't see the connection.

If you're trying to describe 'oneness', outside forces, yadda-yadda-yadda, try this:

Eccleisiastes 9:18 - Wisdom is better than the weapons of war; but one sinner destroys much good.

OOORRR, you could go back to school and take a second semester of Moral Philosophy.

I got a million of them...

RECON! CEASE FIRE! CEASE FIRE! Ok wait, (scratching head while bullets streak past) what am I supposed to think?

Sorry, I couldn't resist, especially after that "predator" link.

So how does this apply specifically to snipers?

Don't the bad guys make a choice as well?

ok well tracy i liked that one but try this one " Kill one Terroize a thousand " Sun Tzu 500 BC. well i know im going to sound like a nut but the late Carlos Hathcock always talked about having what he called the sixth sense and this is what this is saying if u have the right mind as carlos hathcock had which i dont have but im trying to fashion it u would understand it better its just in thinking in different ways than everyone else

thanks

Tracy, the running one definitely. That was cool.

Dog, keep going. Which mindset are you referring to with Gunny Hathcock?

Sharky:

Is EPIC still up and running? We did some Coyote Hunting for BPS in '84-'85 time frame out west of El PassOut. We staged out of Oro Grande before SDI took it over.

We used to go to Club Panama in Juarez for I&I.

If you're ever out in Northern California, give me a holler. We can do some RW at the Lodi Parachute Center.

Tracy, Yeah, EPIC is still going strong. One of the better ideas Uncle Sam has had in a long time. Still hunting those coyotes down here. We have plenty, believe me! http://www.specialoperations.com/ubboard/smile.gif Don't go south anymore though due to the little bounty issue. If I get up that way we will definitely do a little RW. That would be great! Have a few beers too while we're at it. Blue Skyz bro,, Sharky

U arnt a snipper either. Tell your parents to get a refund on your tuition.

A cool t-shirt, catchy phrase, moral philosophy, spit-shined boots or a DARE certificate never killed anyone. This has always been the task of an accomplished marksman.

All you are is a Stand-Up Philosopher; i.e. a B*llsh*t artist.

you would be correct about that actually. But during the time I spent in the Marines, both in MCSF Bn., and 1st Bn 6th Mar. I dont think I ever heard our Designated Marksman, or our STA Marines talk about all of these deep philisophical quotes. Now that I am out, and am a police officer, all I hear is "One shot, One kill", "Death from a distance". When a DM or a sniper had a good day, we sat around and told stories about our PMI's in boot camp. Im not saying these quotes don't have there place, and they make for excellent discussion, but in the real world, its about rounds on target, not quotes that make people say "oooooo".
No I wasnt Admin either.... MCSF Bn Recatpure Team 94-96, so believe me, I've done many sniper/DM initiated entries, and have nothing but respect for a man who can put a .308 through a door, with his teammates only a few feet away. So, no hard feelings huh....

An "internity", dog4659 et al, is defined as the duration of time spent under a supervisor's desk.

I think dog4659 has one of those calendars that gives him a catch phrase or quote everyday and he feels the need to use them to sound important......or he's high.
