Battelle is looking for qualified explosive ordnance disposal (EOD)
technicians to support USAF EOD flights and possibly other Service's EOD
detachments in the future. Right now our requirements are concentrated
in USAF EOD work. This work is non-hazardous duty to backfill
deploying and to be deployed active duty personnel to assist in planning,
training, maintaining certifications, etc. at posts, camps, stations and
bases in CONUS (possibly OCONUS in the future). See specifics & contact

Our immediate opening is at Edwards AFB, CA. Here are specific duties
and qualifications needed:

Ø Prepares and validates EOD flight's recurring training program
to
include scheduling, tracking and reporting flight's shortages
Ø Assists with flight training and equipment needs for
contingency
deployments and all base support requirements, to include Prime BEEF
Ø Facilitates EOD-related training programs developed for other
base
functional areas, to include local weapons safety, munitions
familiarization, explosive ordnance reconnaissance, base recovery after attack,
bomb threats, bomb discoveries, etc.
Ø Oversees EOD presentations, plans and programs related to
public
awareness seminars and training for federal, state and local civilian
and law enforcement personnel/agencies
Ø Develops lesson plans and assists in preparation of operating
instructions for EOD responses
Ø Evaluates training effectiveness by administering the Flight
Quality Assurance program, and oversees the development of Flight
training plans
Ø Prepares and maintains records and reports incidental to
render-safe and disposal activities for higher echelons. Issues
guidance and coordinates with key staff members of the Wing Force
Protection/Threat Working Group and in the development of training plans,
procedures, and policies
Ø Supports the installation exercise program as a member of the
Exercise Evaluation Team
Ø Additional duties as directed by flight management. Duties may
include long periods of standing and/or moderate lifting.

Candidate resumes must demonstrate the following basic requirements in
order to be forwarded for consideration:
Ø NAVSCOLEOD Graduate (DD 214 and Graduation Cert Required)
Ø Prior EOD with Senior Badge
Ø Drivers License
Ø Ability to obtain/maintain Secret security clearance
Ø Honorable Discharge
Ø Self Starter, Independent Thinker and Highly Motivated. Good
Physical Condition
Ø Must be able to stand for long periods of time and/or perform
moderate lifting. Knowledgeable in all Aspects of Flight Level AFEOD
functions. Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret security
clearance.
Ø Additional selection criteria will include the following
Ø OIF/OEF deployment, an active DOD Secret security clearance
