LAPD in the 1970s and 1980s

Would anybody know which guns the LAPD issued during the 1970s and 1980s? Handguns, shotguns, SWAT-kit?

Any help appreciated.

Hans I know there Snipers came and shot with us in the late 80's,they had rem. .308 and .223rifles w/leopold optics.but they had a Ruger 10-22 rifle in the trunk of there car,figured it was for varmints.When asked about it they said it was for shooting out street lights to get the tactical advantage for there nightvision equip. IIRC- S&W revolvers, Ithaca shotguns. SWAT was carrying the 1911 (finest kind!) and who knows what all else.
