Hello all,

I' ve searched on here for this, and found nothing. I've also posted regarding this in the past. I'd like to know if anyone has pursued training with SCG Risk International (found at scgonline.net), or if anyone knows anything about their CEO, Jamie Smith, claiming to be a former CIA officer. No one could offer any info in the past, but I thought maybe in the interim, someone had trained with them, or heard things....anyway, any info is appreciated ! Thanks !

I can't answer any of those questions but I do have a friend that has a stateside gig working for them, and from what I've seen I'm not very impressed. That is just my opinion.

He was a former senior manager at BW in the early days. I want to say Director of Operations, Training or something similar. They had a parting of ways during the early days of OEF.

I can't speak for his training one way or the other.

I attended the High Threat Protective Operations Course back in early 06. Was out of Virginia Beach then. The quality of instructors was excellent. Definitely felt like we got our money's worth.

I actually havent heard too many NEGATIVE comments about their training. I met some Marines in Baghdad who had attended some of his protective training and they felt that it was good training. The only thing I don't really care for is that is someone is looking for a job with them, you have to pay to attend their "vetting course." Its somewhere around $700, IIRC, with no garauntee of work after the course.

all very useful info. as long as they're a legit company, and not some fly-by-night operation...
