I have been considering putting my dress blues rank insignia on an otherwise devoid of design motorcycle jacket, heh heh, including the hash marks. Two considerations I have

1.> Irrational fear of retired SNCO's jumping out at me at red lights to decry use of official uniform items on civilian gear. ( If you were a Marine don't even play that doing this didn't cross your mind as unauthorized :) )



2.> Appearance of being too self absorbed or even worse, a wanna be.


Just curious what would you think if you saw this, or in general items from uniforms on civvy gear? I know when I see old dogs riding with stuff I always feel they deserve it so, wtf.

Having been out for quite some time, my feelings are different than those of rangersnaplink, 0699 and paratroop77. However, agree with the "only wear what you are rightfully entitled to wear" suggestion.
