hey everyone, im a high school senior, and im heading off to Northwestern University this fall. now that im going off to college, im thinking ahead about what i might want to do in the future. after doing a lot of reading about it, the FBI has become one path im seriously considering. the counterterrorism area of the bureau is the most appealing to me, and HRT would be my ultimate goal if i ever did get into the bureau. a few questions about HRT- how long is an agent allowed to remain in HRT? are the only requirements being in the bureau for 3yrs and passing the physical/whatever else screening test? after HRT where would an agent most likely go within the bureau? could he go to one of the FBI's SWAT teams? could he stay on with HRT as something other than an entry "assaulter"-maybe working with intel or electronics/surveillence?
ive always done very well in school, but i like the sciences more than english. im thinking of majoring in either computer science, or some type of engineering, maybe electrical or chemical. any suggestions as to which would be most beneficial when applying to the FBI? thanks alot for the help, i appreciate it.
