Damn. That's a lot of snow.

Looks like what hit Ft Bragg in Jan '73. Almost all of Bragg completely shut down.

We headed out that very day for 3 days and nights of training as planned.:D

Kinda reminds me of what hit there winter 96/97 when I was there. It starting snowing early in the afternoon and everything was shut down by 1800. Another time that same winter we were in the field. We had racked out for the night and woke up to 6 inches of snow and it just kept piling up. They pulled us out of the field before post got shut down. That particular storm kept post shutdown for 4 days if I remember right.

Once got stcuk in the field because of snow- the roads were coded 'black' so no wheeled traffic.

We ended up pulling the Brigade out with Chinooks because everyone was already wet from a previous rain.

Set up the LZ right out side 1 BDE Hqs between 1 and 2 BCT.

Those were some frozen troops...
