Two Houston LEO's killed in the line of duty on 052201

My computer was down for a while or else I would've posted this earlier.

Harris County Deputy Joseph Dennis was killed in the line of duty early Tuesday morning while arresting a criminal mischief suspect. He was the fourth Harris County deputy killed in the line of duty in the past eleven months. His killer is in custody.

About 16 hours later Houston police officer Alberto Vasquez and his partner were shot at a drug infested apartment complex on the southwest side. Vasquez was killed and Officer Enrique Duharte-Tur seriously wounded. The shooter is in custody. Vasquez was the 99th HPD officer to die in the line of duty.

It was not a good week for us in Houston. Please take a moment to remember these fallen officers.
