Seattle Shooting

Any of you LEs keeping an eye on the media shit storm thats going on up here? A black man was shot by a white Seattle PD officer. The Man was shot because he was draging The officers partner outside the car. There is a lot more to this story. www.seattlepi.com (http://www.seattlepi.com) Its a total cluster fuck and local LE is getting the short end of the stick. Personally I dont think its a race thing as much as a "Hey your draging my partner down the street" kind of thing.

Seriously, I started to research this a bit and got together with a researcher for the NAACP. She gave me stats on officer-involved shootings for the past 5 years in Seattle. The basic breakdown looked like this:

Hispanic/Asian 12%
Black 40%
White 40%
Other 8%

Hmmmmmmmmm. Even with the new math, the number of blacks and whites is identical. And, as if that wasn't enough, the family of the decedent is NOT at all involved in the protesting. They must have already suspected what the coroner verified later --- that our boy was amped up on rock and had a few priors.
