looking for a good timer for my firearms training. Needs to be accurate(of course) and will go thru some hard use. I literally have thousands of students a year a need something that is very durable and will last a long time. Any suggestions? Thanks

I use a PACT MK IV. I've had it for a couple years and never had a problem.
Their club timers would make more sense if all you want is a timer. The club I shoot at in the stumps has had them for 10 years and they are still going strong.

I'm a little late but if you plan on doing stress tests, you might look into the CDE stuff. I've got the 8000 (I think) that looks like a game boy. It'll run out to 10 minutes on cumulative time. It has a lot of bells and whistles too.

1+ on CED products. Have a CED7000 and like it a lot. Use it at home for dry fire and at the range when I get time. Its small though, about the size of an iPod nano (the older version), just not as thin. While I like the 7000, I am not sure it would be good to use with students. Just not sure how it wold handle being beaten about by students all the time.

I have a Pact timer but it never gets used any more. Instead when I need a timer I always grab the CED first. The Pact has some nice features but it is way too big and bulky if you are just going to be using it as a timer. The CED is much smaller and easier to deal with at the range for extended periods of time. YMMV.
