I need to make a reservation until I find an apartment. Does anyone have any recommendations? I think that suburban hotel is off the list as last time I was there it was kind of grimey.

Dunno what your budget is, but I liked the one Sycamore Dairy (https://www.extendedstayhotels.com/hotels/fayetteville-cross-creek-mall-esd.html[/url) Close to Itz, and right across the street from that good ass pub and steak house....I think it was called the Mash house or something. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

walking distance to the mash house? I love that place. I just booked with another hotel though. Was in a bit of a rush as I set up shop monday.

Moon Hall, Hardy Hall! There used to be kind of fun bar right there as well. However, it seems like the place is now called the Airborne Inn or something like that.

My niece works at the Wingate. I don't think it's an extended stay place though. There is one right across the street from there that looks pretty nice. It's probably the same place Gryfen linked.

Ah, . . . Sylvia's! (c. 1976)

7th Group had a nice bell put in there to be rung when fools walked in with a hat on. It rang often.:D

'76 is a little before my time. The bar at Moon Hall was called The Stilwell Lounge.

Hey, OD, how long you going to be in town for? And for what? I see a meeting at Mash House coming, its been a long time since we've seen you, and we're about to leave the Bragg AO.

...thought that place had a good feal to it. Although, I have to ask if you had anything to do with the treadmill there?

I know hotel gyms ain't really supposed to be all that, but good God, that treadmill was an abomination. It was like a museum piece from a spanish inquisition exhibit.

"Our greatest weapon is fear and suprise"....

...the whole bit about comfy chairs was very clever disinformation.....it was really a squeaky, narrow treadmill, that would stick on occasion. :(

I can tell you where not to stay... start with the Ramadan Inn out towards the airport.
